It seems that initial details about the prices of the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Ultra have been leaked. Reports on a Chinese social media platform, Weibo, suggest that these models may be released with a higher price tag in 2023. It is not yet known what new features or improvements these models will have.
The prices will increase with the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Ultra
Previous reports indicated that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus would probably be offered at a slightly lower price than the iPhone 14 models, but that the Pro and Ultra prices would increase. It is said that Apple wants to create a gap in the prices of the iPhone series, especially by adding new features to its expensive models.
The report that emerged on Weibo claims that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will feature both the Dynamic Island and the 48 Megapixel camera found in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. In contrast, the two most expensive phones in the series will have some important advantages.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Ultra will use a completely new Apple chip. They will take their power from the A17 Bionic produced on Apple’s 3nm architecture. Although it is not significantly more powerful than the current generation, it will stand out with its battery performance.
The 3nm A17 Bionic produced by TSMC will be quite expensive due to the new chips. According to rumors, a chip produced with 3nm N3 technology will be 25% more expensive than current technology. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Ultra may also have a titanium case that greatly increases their durability. This is likely to increase production costs and Apple will reflect this in the cost to the end user.
